Permajet - The Paper of Choice For All My Fine Art Prints
Ever since I started my journey into fine art printing over a decade ago, I have always gravitated towards papers from Permajet. Of course in the beginning I had dabbled and experimented with papers from other brands. Without experimentation how would one ever find the papers that really work for them?
Through those early periods of printing off countless amounts of test prints, the paper that I kept returning to was Portrait White 285 by Permajet. Despite it’s name, this paper is not just isolated to printing portraiture imagery. In fact, I used this paper for the majority of my printing needs for many years. And because I print for other photographers and camera clubs, alongside my own personal fine art prints, this paper was used across a wide gamut of print jobs and genres, ranging from Landscape to Nature/Wildlife and even Architectural imagery.
As the years progressed, so did Permajet’s range of paper offerings. While Portrait White 285 still holds a special place in my heart, I have since fallen in love with several other paper offerings from Permajet. Some of the papers that both my clients and I choose for our printing needs are Baryta Rag 310, Etching Rag 310 and Museum Heritage 310.
